*Do you have an idea?

if you answered “yes” to any of these questions then we want to hear from you!

Please take a few moments to record your ideas below and then let others support and develop your ideas further!

I suggest that...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the “My feedback” filter and select “My open ideas”.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

      • Run “novice” races for new riders.

Designate a number of races through out the year which are aimed at novice riders, these should be distinct to "come and try" days and be actual races.

A club mentor should also be included in the field to guide new riders through the skills required to race and ride in a group situation and tactics.

        • Create a “How to/Beginners Guide” for racing.

Create a section on the website or develop a handbook that is aimed at cyclsts who are new to the sport and have not yet joined the club.

This would be an initial reference point for such riders to refer to so that they know a little bit about how to get involved.

          • Enter a club team(s)s into CSV Teams Races

Many of Cycle Sport Victoria events are turning "teams" based. Over the last couple of seasons even though many individual members have entered these races the Geelong Cycling Club has not had a team presence.

Should the club try to coordinate these entries into a club team(s)?
